Questions

What electricians ask before they start.

Is Gallop software for electricians?

Yes. Gallop gives your electrical business a website where customers ask for a quote with photos of the job, plus a business app to send prices, book jobs and invoice, all from your phone.

Can I ask my own questions on the quote form?

Yes. Add up to five, like "How old is the house?" or "How many new power points?", as a short answer, a choice, yes or no, a number or a date.

Can customers send photos of the switchboard?

Yes. Your quote form asks for photos of the job, up to 10, and you can make them required if you can't quote without them.

What happens when a customer asks for changes?

You're emailed their note, and the quote shows as "Changes asked" in the app. Send an updated price and they can accept it online.

Can I take a deposit before I order parts?

Yes. Add a deposit to the quote, and the customer is emailed a deposit invoice when they accept. They pay by bank transfer, or by cash or card in person, and you mark it paid. Paying by card online isn't available yet.

Will jobs show in my phone's calendar?

Yes. Each person gets a private link that adds their bookings to Apple, Google or Outlook calendar, and new jobs show up there on their own.

Does it connect to my accounting software?

Not yet. Invoices and payments are kept in Gallop, and it doesn't connect to accounting software.

Do I need to be technical?

No. Describe your business the way you'd tell a new customer: the work you do, the areas you cover and how you price. Gallop asks a few questions and builds the rest.

How much does Gallop cost for a electrician?

Free until 21 January 2027. Then it's $12/month in United States, a founding members price you keep while you stay subscribed, with no contract.
